The Beginning
The Society of St. Peter the Apostle arose through the missionary commitment of Jeanne Bigard and her mother, Stéphanie Bigard, in France.
Their missionary concern became focused on the formation of local clergy in mission territories and the support of seminarians and seminaries.
The Society continues this mission by supporting priestly and religious formation in young Churches throughout the world.
